The most popular soda brand in the world, Coca-Cola, has a new sales and distribution center in Tifton, Georgia. Many millions of Coca-Cola products will move through the $65 million dollar, 300,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility having an enormously positive economic impact on the region. Within the building’s main lobby an iconic illuminated 14 foot Coca-Cola bottle stands as HDI’s elegant CIRCUM™ Round railing system spirals around the interior of the structure.

Railing System: CIRCUM™ Round
Location: Tifton, Georgia
Architect: The Design Group
Contractor:  Brasfield & Gorrie

Coca-Cola Bottling Company United chose HDI’s CIRCUM™ Round railing system with glass infill for their facilities’ lobby and second level balconies. Tensile strength meets  unparalleled aesthetics in this lobby staircase installation with 304 grade stainless steel and elegant glass infill.

The glass infill panels promote light flow through the lobby area highlighting the trademark Coca-Cola bottle statue. HDI utilizes a laser scanning process to ensure accurate
measurements are taken prior to installing curved glass infill panels. The second floor balcony railing provides a contemporary and sleek backdrop for the lobby’s suspended LED pendant light fixture.

HDI’s CIRCUM™ Round railing system uses 304 grade stainless steel as it offers tremendous value with regards to long term cost of ownership. Stainless steel alternatives like  aluminum require more supports than steel, creating design and engineering limitations. The CIRCUM™ Round railing system is constructed with mechanically threaded connections to ensure an exact, precise and secure fitting. All railings are fully assembled in HDI’s factory and then deconstructed into assembled sections thereby ensuring the most efficient installation.

Tifton’s new Coca-Cola bottling facility began start-up operations this summer and will be officially opening this fall to serve as a hub to distribute products and services to customers and other smaller Coca-Cola sales facilities throughout South Georgia and parts of the Florida Panhandle.

“As one of our most beloved and deeply rooted brands, any time the Coca-Cola system expands, it’s good news for the State of Georgia,” said Governor Brian P. Kemp.

When building professionals need a railing system that can keep up with industry demands they turn to HDI Railings. HDI would welcome the opportunity to partner with you on your next project.
